New Co-op fertilizer terminal near Grassy Lake

Federated Co-operatives Limited will soon open a new state-of-the-art fertilizer terminal in southeastern Alberta.

The $42.8-million facility is located near Grassy Lake. It’s FCL’s first terminal in Alberta and third terminal on the Prairies.

FCL says the terminals provide Co-op Agro Centres and prairie producers with a full suite of important crop nutrition products.

A grand opening event is scheduled for Oct. 6.

South Country Co-op, which operates grocery stores, liquor stores and gas bars in Medicine Hat, Redcliff and across southeastern Alberta, is part of Federated Co-operatives Limited.
