Crews on scene at grass fire in city’s southwest

UPDATE: The collision, that happened at about 12:45 p.m., knocked out power to about 1,300 customers, says the City of Medicine Hat. By 2 p.m. power was restored to all but about 75 customers and fire and police crews were still on the scene.

Police say traffic is closed on 10 Ave SW to Cottonwood while city utility crews repair a downed power line. Traffic is being re-routed to use Gershaw Drive to 30th Street SW. It’s anticipated the street will open again at about 7 p.m.
