4 teens escape serious injury in Redcliff Saturday

4 cyclists escape serious injury crossing T-C highway against traffic lights

REDCLIFF, AB. — Redcliff RCMP are emphasizing safety when crossing any road, after an incident around 8 o’clock Saturday night.

Mounties say 4 teenaged boys were crossing the Trans Canada at Broadway Avenue, against the traffic lights.

Other motorists saw what was happening and tried alerting others by sounding their horns.

One driver had to take evasive action and collided with another vehicle.

Neither driver was hurt, but both vehicles had some damage.

One of the teens did make contact with a vehicle and was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

Redcliff RCMP thank fire, EMS and members of the public for their quick actions in ensuring this situation wasn’t much more serious.
