Next MH Interpretive Program walk this week

Aug 10, 2020 | 10:41 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Police Point Park wants everyone to know how crucial riparian areas are to this region full of water places and wetlands.

The MH Interpretive Program is hosting a Riparian Areas Rock! walk on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.

Because of COVID-19 public health guidelines and space attendance limits, organizers ask that people register in advance. Space is limited to 12 people and the meeting location will be provided to those who register.

“Ranging from expanses of cottonwood forest to fragile strips of willow and grasses, these intricately connected systems provide habitat for a multitude of species, including us,” reads a release about the program.

For more information call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225, visit natureline.info or find Police Point Park on Facebook.

The project is supported through a grant from the Land Stewardship Centre of Canada.
