REDCLIFF, AB – Redcliff residents have a chance to submit an idea, project, or amenity that they would like to see in the town.

Municipal Manager Phyllis Forsyth says it’s part of their annual process when it comes to budget talks.

The town wants to know what residents would like to see in 2021.

She says you can submit any capital idea like a new facility, service, or infrastructure.

Residents have until the middle of August before budget discussions follow.

“And we have a bunch of ideas on our capital list. They will be ranked, put forward to council, and then we determine with what money we have what we can expect for in grants. But we also know that we’re going into some really tough economic times so have to be cautious about where we’re spending our money.”

Forsyth says one of the ideas that came from the community is the new skateboard park.

She says construction is underway and it’s supposed to be finished by the end of the year.

The 2021 budget submission form can be found on the Town of Redcliff website.
