More reservations at Gas City Campground

MEDICINE HAT, AB – More campers are now able to book at Gas City Campground.

On Friday, July 17 the city opened reservations to have the grounds at 100 percent capacity.

Prior to the campground opening on June 1, it was 80 percent capacity for booking.

Parks Manager Scott Richter says they closed most of the tenting sites during that time.

And he says the campground is kind of in-between going back to “normal”.

“We’re still reminding people to keep distance, visitors are allowed, but again if they’re not part of your family or immediate family to try and keep that social distance.”

The laundry facilities and outdoor kitchen shelter remain closed at this time.

Campers are able to book their reservation online or give the campground a call.
