Raptors Uprising GC sets NBA 2K League mark with 11th straight win to open season
TORONTO — Raptors Uprising GC recorded its 11th straight victory Monday, sweeping Heat Check Gaming in their best-of-three esports series to set an NBA 2K League record for consecutive wins to start the season.
The Raptors (11-0) had their way with the Heat (2-7) in Game 1, cruising to a 92-54 win before having to rally in the second half for an 80-58 victory in Game 2.
Toronto tied Mavs Gaming’ league mark of 10 straight victories to start the season when they crushed Magic Gaming last week.
There was some initial confusion over whether 11 straight victories represented the longest winning streak in the league’s three-year history, especially given the change in format this season.
