UPDATE: Medicine Hat Fire, Police respond to reported fire in Strathcona Island Park

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat Police have confirmed that a small fire in Strathcona Island Park has now been put out.

First responders evacuated and closed down the park while crews battled the fire, and have since re-opened the park to the public.

According to the platoon chief, the fires are under investigation by fire services and police.

But they determined the spot fires were intentionally set.

All three stations responded to Strathcona Park.

There were no injuries and no other damage besides the brush in the park
