Retirement farewell parade for Chat 94.5’s Jim Duce

MEDICINE HAT, AB – After 50 years behind the mic and 47 years on Chat 94.5 Jim Duce signed off for the last time Friday morning.

Phone calls, videos, comments on social media, and even a parade helped send our very own Jim to retirement today.

The Medicine Hat Police Service led the way from the Canalta Centre to the Chat 94.5 studio.

Followed by family, friends, and the community who congratulated Jim on the way by.

Jim said it’s been an emotional morning.

“This whole day has been overwhelming, to say the least. This parade is fantastic I mean wow. Never in my life did I dream of something like that. I’m just totally speechless I can’t thank everyone enough who not only was a part of the parade but the texts. I’ve been on my phone all day, I’ve been on Facebook. It’s been not just today but for several weeks now.”
