Two Medicine Hat women charged with fraud involving stolen fuel cards

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Two Medicine Hat women have been charged with fraud using stolen fuel cards throughout 2019.

Medicine Hat Police Service says more than $36,000 worth of gas was obtained with cards stolen from an unnamed local business.

The MHPS Major Crime Section searched transaction records and surveillance footage in the course of the investigation.

Nicole Heller, 37, has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and trafficking in stolen property over $5,000. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 2.

Tina Thompson, 37, has been charged with fraud under $5,000. She has also been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23.
