Severe thunderstorm warning for County of Forty Mile

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Portions of the County of Forty Mile are under a severe thunderstorm warning as of 4:05 p.m.

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

There is a strong thunderstorm located 20 km northeast of Milk River This storm is moving to the east at 60 km/h, says Environment Canada.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

The affected areas in the warning are Aden and Kennedy Coulee, Etzikom and Maleb, Foremost and Orion and Manyberries.

The Medicine Hat-Bow Island-Suffield region was placed under a severe thunderstorm watch earlier Wednesday afternoon.

Regions from Rocky Mountain House in central Alberta to Cypress Hills in the southeast are under either thunderstorm warning or watch this afternoon.
