Locals who have been missing the big screen have only two weeks to wait.
According to a release from Cineplex, the Medicine Hat multiplex will be open on July 3.
“Cineplex, one of Canada’s leading entertainment and media companies, announced today that six of its theatres across Alberta will reopen this Friday. These theatres include Cineplex Cinemas North Edmonton and VIP, Cineplex Odeon South Edmonton Cinemas, Scotiabank Theatre Edmonton, Cineplex Odeon Crowfoot Crossing Cinemas, Cineplex Odeon Sunridge Spectrum Cinemas, and Cineplex Cinemas Seton and VIP. Cineplex’s 13 other theatres across Alberta will reopen on July 3,” reads the release.
Cineplex says early on Cineplex will be offering $5 tickets and showing popular new releases people may have missed. The list includes Bloodshot, The Invisible Man, Sonic The Hedgehog, Jumanji: The Next Level, Bad Boys for Life, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, The Way Back and I Still Believe. Cineplex says there will be increased health and safety measures throughout the lobby and theatres.
