Stampede issues Home Decorating Challenge

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Stampede spirit can’t be stopped in Medicine Hat.

The annual Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede won’t go ahead due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the promotions committee wants to see the community’s spirit during what would have been Stampede week.

From July 20-24, Medicine Hat residents are encouraged to decorate their homes for the Home Decorating Challenge.

According to the Stampede website, “We encourage you to keep your decorations up the entire month of July, however, July 20 is the day you will want to go all out! Play the music, dress the part, have fun!!”

Judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Entries are open now and only the first 100 will be accepted. The deadline is July 16 at 4:30 p.m.

The theme for Stampede 2020 is Celebrating Local Achievement. Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede gift cards will be awarded to the top three houses.
