Fun in the city with charity prank wars

Jun 18, 2020 | 10:23 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Public Library got a little surprise this morning.

As part of the charity prank wars going on in the city this month, the Be YOUth Centre pranked the library before staff got to work.

Be YOUth Centre’s Executive Director Brett Tobler says the Medicine Hat Food Bank started the prank war.

Despite being slightly rained on today, they got out the sidewalk chalk and posted signs on the building.

Tobler says now it’s the library’s turn to prank a charity.

“The food bank pranked us we just wanted to have a little bit of fun. With everything that’s going on in the community we just wanted to bring some fun and some joy to the community.”

Meantime, Tobler says the Be YOUth Centre has been offering online programming five nights a week for their youth during this time.

It includes arts, crafts, and cooking through social media.
