Local rock band makes sweet music from afar

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A high school rock band started in September by Medicine Hat’s Ryan Massini is music to the ears.

Massini, one half of popular Medicine Hat duo Mahoney, posted a video this week of the band performing Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror.

Here’s what he posted to Facebook along with it:

I started a High School rock band (Brodie) as part of my Ed. degree from U of L. These kids started playing together in September and we thought it might end when I graduated from the U of L in December. Luckily, Hat High kept me around and so I got to jam with these kids a few times a week until schools closed. After that, we decided to keep the music going online. Check out what these kids were able to pull off by singing and playing into their phones. Pretty awesome! Super proud!
