No new COVID-19 cases in Hat, Brooks

EDMONTON – Alberta is reporting 29 new cases of COVID-19 and two additional deaths related to the illness. But there have been no new cases reported in Medicine Hat or Brooks.

Brooks has now seen it’s active cases go down by 10 to 24 in the past 24-hours while Medicine Hat’s active cases remain at eight.

The province says that of a total 6,955 infections in the province, 6,160 people have recovered.

So far, 143 people have died.

There are 50 people in hospital, and four of them are in intensive care.

The province says nearly 250,000 tests have been completed during the pandemic.

The latest numbers were posted Thursday afternoon with Alberta medical officer of health expected to deliver her next live update Friday afternoon.
