RCMP investigate after pair found unresponsive near Brooks

May 25, 2020 | 11:24 AM

BROOKS, AB – RCMP continue to investigate after a male and female were found unresponsive at a parked vehicle north of Brooks on May 22.

RCMP and Brooks EMS responded to the Boswell Industrial Park at about 6 a.m. last Friday. They found two people in and beside a brown Buick LeSabre in the parking lot.

The male, who had injuries to his head, was eventually airlifted to a hospital in Calgary, while the female was airlifted to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Both have since been released from hospital, said Cpl. Robert Harms.

“There are no findings at this point during the investigation to suggest that any other persons were involved with this occurrence,” Harms said. “Right now we’re not looking for anyone else but we’re still investigating and there’s still lots of legwork to do so we’ll see where that takes us.”

RCMP ask anyone who may have knowledge of the incident to call 403-794-4400 with any information. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app.
