Update: Finlay Bridge reopened, woman transported to hospital

UPDATE : The MHPS says a distraught female was taken into custody and apprehended under the Mental Health Act.

She was then taken to hospital for treatment.

The Finlay Bridge is now open to public, according to police.

MEDICINE HAT, AB.- The Medicine Hat Police Service is on the scene of a high risk incident at the Finlay Bridge.

Police are asking pedestrians and vehicle traffic to avoid the area.
