Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – April 9

Apr 9, 2020 | 12:30 PM

Mad Hatter

I’m really getting sick of the guy with his vehicle leaking oil in parking lot! Plus he leaves it running for up to a half hour which has a noisy muffler ! You don’t need to let it run that long!!

Mad Hatter

Not impressed with our police service in not patrolling Sprague Speedway between Dr. Roy Wilson and George Davidson schools public using it as a speedway including city employees and transit drivers through park area which are supposed to be professional drive

Mad Hatter

That car dealerships are pushing sales through this pandemic!! The sales side of car dealerships are NON-ESSENTIAL so why are they even open? I wish they’d quit sending crap to my house pushing me to buy a car! Not a lot of people are working because of this virus! Seriously car dealership managers need to give their heads a shake!!!

Happy Hatter

Well. Finally some nice weather on the horizon to bring out our motorcycles. To long have us taxpayers been unable to enjoy our hobby during the long winter. No longer are we stuck listening to those rust buckets (cars and trucks), making their pitiful attempt at noise! Time for some sweet music to the ears on how a real straight pipe should sound! Let’s all make this a year to remember, stay safe and healthy and enjoy your hobby and if someone has a problem they can go pound sand.

Mad Hatter

Disappointed to see a local group that’s collecting masks for essential non-medical workers. This is a form of hoarding, is going to start a mask war and lead to masks being improperly used and wasted.

Mad Hatter

To the clowns who supposedly take care of the highways/ city streets. Dumping loads of gravel on the road in April seems foolish, wasteful of resources, and bad for the environment. Plus not to mention, it rots vehicles away very fast!

Mad Hatter

Why is there a local group collecting medical/surgical and N95 masks to distribute to non-medical workers such as homeless shelter workers?! These types of masks need to be saved for our frontline medical workers, and even they are only wearing N95s when in high risk situations because of a severe shortage and being asked to save and re-use them even. This group should be fined and criminally charged for this behaviour. Collect homemade masks all you want but leave the medical grade masks for the medical workers.

Happy Hatter

Grateful to have such great neighbours. Being high risk I am on permanent self-isolation until either COVID goes away or my cancer kills me. There were two teenagers and their Mom out in their driveway getting some time out of the house by doing sidewalk art. My husband moved our vehicle onto the street and said if they wanted more room to draw they were more than welcome. They saw me sitting in the window watching and they came over and drew bright pictures and notes of encouragement for me because they know I can’t leave. These young ladies could have chosen to sulk in their rooms due to the major life milestones that have been taken from them (Graduation for one and an international dance competition for the other) but they chose to make a terminal shut-in smile. Those are the young people that we need to hear more of in our community. Thank you to these girls and their mother who was out there making new memories with them – instead of complaining about everything.
