Map shows COVID-19 case in MD of Taber

MEDICINE HAT, AB – According to the Alberta government website’s COVID-19 mapping tool one of the three cases of COVID-19 in the south zone is in the MD of Taber.
The interactive capabilities of the map are not available at this time due to technical difficulties but the red-shaded area of the municipal district is easily distinguished.
The other two were previously confirmed in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.
The March 19 update from Dr. Deena Hinshaw included the news of the first COVID-19 death. A man in his 60s from the Edmonton region with underlining medical conditions and is suspected to have acquired the virus through community transmission.
