Playground management plan survey underway

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Feedback on location, utilization, accessibility, and inclusion are some of the items the city is hoping to collect during a survey on playgrounds this month.

Manager of Business & Asset Planning Jaime McLeod says the survey will help guide staff in operations, maintenance, and future planning of playgrounds.

He says the city hopes to hear from people of all ages in the community.

“We’re also engaging youth and children. What they like to see and what their perspective on playgrounds are as well as community and stakeholder groups that do any kind of program and planning at our facilities.”

McLeod says the intention of the survey is to see more enjoyment and utilization at their facilities.

The playground management plan survey is available online and can be viewed by visiting this link.

The survey is available until March 21, 2020.

McLeod says the survey is about 15 questions and will take 5 minutes to answer.

Community engagement will also be collected during the Sunshine Home & Garden Show this weekend at booth #205.
