Mar 2, 2020 | 12:22 PM

EDMONTON, AB — Albertans anxious to reserve a spot for the camping season will be able to start making reservations soon.

On-line bookings for comfort camping will begin on March 10th, with individual campsite reservations starting on March 17th.

The system will begin taking reservations for the south region at 9 a.m. on Saint Patricks Day, with K-Country region starting two hours later.

Other regions will begin accepting reservations on two hour intervals as of 1 p.m. that day.

Once the system is up and running, the province says it will be accepting year-round Alberta Park’s camping reservations.

The payment system is also being expanded to include Visa and MasterCard debit cards.

The base camping rate at most campgrounds will go up by $3, with rates for power, water, sewers and showers increasing by one dollar, where available.
