Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – February 20

Mad Hatter

That the City is even considering giving a subsidy to Coulee Ridge for fire response sprinklers. I paid to have them in my house, they can too. Quit wasting our money.

Mad Hatter

That no vet clinic in the city is open past 5 pm. This makes it extremely difficult for people who work until 5-6 to get their pets vaccinated, pick up food and prescriptions and maintain the patient/doctor relationship. Some vet clinics are open Saturdays yes, but they don’t offer simple vaccination appointments and they book up very fast. It is not easy to get time off to take pets for appointments because SO many things could happen. The clinic could double book, the doctor could be called into emergency surgery….anything. If just one clinic was open until 6 or 6:30, that would definitely make all the difference.

Happy Hatter

Happy to see Calgary is looking at fees for Black Bins pickups “Pay as you throw”. Medicine Hat could go bi-weekly instead, like many many other cities have done.

Mad Hatter

City of Medicine Hat is considering subsidizing sprinkler systems in residence homes in Coulee Ridge. If the someone buys in that area shouldn’t it be consideration or a requirement of home builders to ensure they have a proper system in place

Happy Hatter

Very impressed with the young, local, hockey talent in the recent Atom B tournament. Some intense games. Great job done by all who made sure everything was on track. Spending whole days at the Kinplex, making sure everything was taken care of. You did an amazing job.

Mad Hatter

If the city approves helping those new builds pay for sprinkler system, not a single one deserves my vote next round! These homes are expensive with top grade everything and the home owners cannot afford a sprinkler system? Maybe city should pay for improvements for flood areas too? Absolutely ridiculous it is even being considered by the city.
