Bandits erase three goal deficit but fall in overtime to rival Oilers
BROOKS, AB – Despite coming back from being down 3-0, the Brooks Bandits fell in overtime to the Okotoks Oilers on Friday night at the Centennial Regional Arena.
Oiler forward Jack Works scored the winner 68 seconds into overtime, giving Okotoks a 5-4 win and a 6 point lead on Brooks for 1st in the South Division. The Bandits have a game in hand.
Bandit goaltender Pierce Charleson (Aurora, ON) made 22 saves in the overtime loss.
Okotoks had a goal waved off early in the 1st, as Seth Bernard-Docker fired in a point shot, but forward Louis Jamernik was in the crease. The Oilers would make it 1-0 at 16:44 as Liam Freeborn finished off a Jack Works pass.
