Provincial budget to be tabled February 27

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The United Conservative Party has announced when they will table its next budget.

In a news release sent out Tuesday morning, Finance Minister Travis Toews announced he will bring forward the province’s next budget on February 27.

“Budget 2020 is a continuation of our commitment to Albertans and the plan set forward in Budget 2019,” Toews wrote in a statement. “We are focused on transforming government programs to eliminate duplication and ensuring realized savings are reinvested into services. I look forward to sharing our plan later this month.”

The tabling of the budget comes two days after the legislature resumes on February 25.
