Police arrest man wanted following high-risk incident Tuesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A man wanted by police in connection with a high-risk incident in the Flats Tuesday morning is in police custody.

Adam Dawe, 39, was located by police inside a residence on Cuyler Road Southeast at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Thursday. According to a release from police, Dawe eventually surrendered himself to police following a lengthy negotiation.

Dawe was wanted by police following an incident in a home in the 900 block of Second Street Southeast Tuesday morning involving an armed male.

Few details fo the incident were released, but at the time police said the male had allegedly indicated he was at risk of harming himself or others.

Dawes was arrested on outstanding warrants, and additional criminal charges are currently pending, according to police.
