Multi-vehicle collision near Bassano Sunday morning

Medicine Hat, AB – A multi-vehicle collision has disrupted traffic near Bassano following an incident west of the town this morning.

According to Alberta 511, the incident occurred just before 7 a.m. Sunday morning approximately 5 km west of Bassano in the westbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway near Range Road 185.

Motorists are being advised to be prepared to stop and Alberta 511 is warning of traffic congestion.

The Bassano area has seen several major accidents in the last year.

Two Hatters were killed in October 2019 and another in May of that year.
