Police recover stolen SUV, arrest two

Medicine Hat, AB – An early morning vehicle stop Saturday has lead to the arrest of a pair of suspects in possession of a stolen SUV.

The 2013 GMC Yukon had been reported stolen from an area business on Friday.

City police say a 39-year-old local man and 29-year-old woman from Viking, AB were stopped on the 3200 Block of 13th ave. at 7:40 a.m. and subsequently arrested.

The duo are facing property crime and drug possession charges and have been remanded while they await a bail hearing.

The vehicle has been returned to its rightful owner.
