Stettler restaurant robbed at gunpoint

Mounties in Stettler are investigating after a restaurant in the town was robbed by a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm.

The incident happened on Dec. 12 at around 4:30 p.m.

Police say a lone male entered the restaurant brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the cash register and VLTs. The male left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The male entered and exited through the back of the restaurant and fled in a waiting vehicle.

The suspect was described as being quite tall wearing a red plaid jacket, brown pants, a touque/sunglasses and a face mask.
