ALERT seizes $300,000 worth of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl in Calgary

CALGARY, AB — The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team has charged three alleged drug dealers after seizing $300,000 worth of drugs in Calgary.

Police seized 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1.2 kilograms of cocaine and 255 grams of fentanyl, according to a release from ALERT on Friday. Officers also seized 28 kilograms of a cocaine buffing agent, $42,887 in cash and a loaded, sawed-off shotgun with its serial number defaced.

Leslie Ma, a 27-year-old man, Vincent Ma, a 36-year-old man and Anny Vo, a 26-year-old woman were arrested at a home in the Riverbend neighbourhood in Calgary on November 13. The Medicine Hat Police Service and the Calgary Police Service assisted with the investigation.

The three accused, who are all from Calgary, face a total of 38 drug and firearms related charges.

ALERT will be conducting forensic testing on the shotgun to determine if it was used in any other crimes.
