Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – November 11

Nov 11, 2019 | 3:10 AM

Happy Hatter
Call me a “whining unionist,” but consider what wage rollbacks mean for all of Alberta: We each have a choice in our career path: from nurses to oil workers, small businesses owners to teachers, private companies or public servants, and more. Each one of us has that choice. But who has a choice WHEN we will need healthcare, civil services, or support workers? The only reality is that we DO need it. I support Alberta, and I stand with workers’ rights because they are working hard to support me.

Mad Hatter
Where was the fan support at the U17 Hockey Challenge? Brutal!

Mad Hatter
Public employees do not and will never get all the perks oil and gas have and some still do. Yes, oil and gas cuts happened and those were private companies who top shareholders didn’t want to take a cut or deduction in bonuses. Not all public workers make big salaries.

Mad Hatter
There’s an old dear in our building that has given herself the title, “Lady”. Seriously, most folks around this complex think you’re a self-imposed bigot. Your broomstick is outside, time you used it.

Mad Hatter
Some of the best Under 17 hockey players come to our city and the seats at Canalta are consistently half empty. Is it any wonder nothing comes here?! It was excellent hockey and we enjoyed it. To all the teams, sorry this city is such an embarrassment.

Mad Hatter
Teachers complaining about pay again – how many days in the year do they actually work? Yes, there may be less $ this year, so be creative like every other industry has had to be. Set the example to the Community. Yes, we do know there are prep PD Days and just like others, be grateful; half-full attitude.

Mad Hatter
Hockey supporters are unable to afford to attend and it’s going to worsen. Surprised we the taxpaying homeowners are on the hook, all because the village idiots wanted to think big beyond our budget.

Mad Hatter
All this talk about separation. Does that mean you would need a passport to go to another province? Duty on products? Higher fees on everything? Sounds like a ridiculous costly idea.
