Redcliff, AB – Two vintage City of Medicine Hat fire trucks hit the auction block on Saturday, collecting nearly $20,000 for the local fire department.
The 1941 Ford chemical truck and the 1949 Bickle-Seagrave ladder truck were used by the city department until the 1960s and 80s respectively. However, both had to go due to lack of storage available for the vehicles.
The Ford went to a Saskatchewan buyer for $7,250 while the ladder truck was sold to a Cypress Hills buyer for $14,000.
