Fairview, AB – It’s been more than three months since 21-year-old Shae-Lynn McAllister went missing. She was last seen at the Fairview A&W on July 3rd.

On Sunday (October 20) a group of volunteers are conducting a ground search in the Blue Sky area.

Shae-Lynn’s mother, Trudy McAllister said this isn’t like her daughter to not reach out after this long.

“The longest I never heard from her was about a week and I had given her a big, major talking to after that and she said, ‘okay mom, I promise I will never do that again.’”

Shae-Lynn is a young mother of three children – two boys and a girl.

Volunteers will be searching on off-highway vehicles and by foot and horseback. McAllister says they are expecting anywhere from 25 to 50 people to show up.

She says the search Sunday will cover Blue Sky and the rural area because her daughter had friends in that area and was known to hang out there.

Tomorrow, a ground search is taking place in the Blue Sky area. Those who would like to help are asked to meet at Blue Sky rink at 9 a.m.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring warm clothing/boots, flashlights, phones, a backpack to carry supplies in, and a camera if possible.

Organizers are asking if you cannot make the search, but live in the area to please check your own property and contact Randi Lynn Schichikowsky (780-772-8742) with a land location and your name so they can have you crossed off on the search map. More information can be found on the search’s Facebook page.
