Sillinger, Ceulemans named to Team Canada for U-17 Hockey Challenge

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Two local prospects will be representing Team Canada at the upcoming World U-17 Hockey Challenge.

Hockey Canada unveiled the 66 player roster Wednesday morning, revealing that Medicine Hat Tigers rookie forward Cole Sillinger and Brooks Bandits defenceman Corson Ceulemans will wear the maple leaf during the tournament, which runs in Medicine Hat and Swift Current from November 2-9.

Hockey Canada says the 66 players selected will be divided into three teams – Team Canada Red, Team Canada Black and Team Canada White- ahead of the tournament.

Sillinger, playing his first full season with the Tigers after being drafted in 2018, has 12 points (7 goals, 5 assists) in 11 games so far this season.

Ceulemans is also playing his first full season in the AJHL. In 12 games with the Bandits, he has recorded 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists).
