Tigers to wear pink jerseys during game next week

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have announced they will be wearing a pink third jersey during a home game next week.

The team’s annual Pink in the Rink game takes place on October 12 against the Red Deer Rebels. The team revealed their jerseys in a video posted on its Twitter page Thursday morning.

During the game, a silent auction will take place starting when the doors open at 6:30 p.m., allowing the public to bid on the jerseys. The auction will run until the end of the second intermission, with winners being announced during the third period.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

According to the Tigers, the jerseys will be autographed by the players following the game and available to be picked up on Tuesday, October 15 in the Tigers’ office at 9 a.m. Winners will have to present government issued photo-identification in order to claim their jerseys. If they are unable to pick up the jerseys during regular office hours, they can pick them up during the game on October 15.
