Chamber to host election forum on Wednesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Voters in Medicine Hat will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates in the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding Wednesday evening.

The Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a federal election forum Wednesday night, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The forum takes place in the Eresman Theatre at Medicine Hat College.

CHAT News Today will be broadcasting a live stream of the forum Wednesday evening. It will be streamed live on our website.

Glen Motz (Conservative Party of Canada), Andrew Nelson (People’s Party of Canada), Elizabeth Thomson (NDP), Harris Kirshenbaum (Liberal Party of Canada) and Independent candidate Dave Phillips have confirmed their participation in the forum, according to the Chamber of Commerce.

Green Party Candidate Shannon Hawthorne declined the invitation to participate, according to the Chamber.

According to the Chamber of Commerce, the questions during the forum will be business-focused. Members of the public can also submit questions for consideration be emailing policy@medicinehatchamber.com.

There will be an opportunity to meet the candidates 30 minutes before the debate and 30 minutes after.
