MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Crescent Heights High School Vikings were victorious on the volleyball court this weekend.

The senior varsity girls team won the gold medal at their home tournament on Sunday, defeating Brooks in the final in straight sets (25-9, 25-22).

The Vikings advanced by topping Raymond in the quarter-finals in three sets (25-22, 21-25, 15-8) and advanced to the finals with a straight sets victory over Foremost (25-14, 25-18).

The tournament also featured a fundraiser for cancer research, with head coach Scott Galloway saying the team were able to raise several hundred dollars through donations at the door, and members of the team collecting individual donations prior to the tournament. An exact dollar amount was not listed.
