MEDICINE HAT, AB — The rural crime townhall tour stop in Medicine Hat scheduled for September 30 has been cancelled.
Doug Schweitzer, the province’s Justice Minister and Solicitor General, was scheduled to be at the Medicine Hat Feeding Company Monday evening. According to Drew Barnes, MLA for Cypress-Medicine Hat, the meeting has been cancelled due to the weather and road conditions in the region.
Schweitzer has been travelling to multiple communities around Alberta, listening to concerns from residents about rural crime.
CHAT News has reached out to Schweitzer’s office to find out if the town hall has been rescheduled, and will update the story when we receive more information.
