High Risk Offender who sexually assaulted Medicine Hat woman released from jail

Medicine Hat, AB–In the interest of public safety, the Calgary Police Service is issuing a warning about the release of a high risk offender with ties to Medicine Hat.

36-year-old Michael Christopher Delmas was released in Calgary on Friday after serving a six-and-a-half year sentence for one count of sexual assault.

The assault happened here in Medicine Hat and the victim was a female known to Delmas.

Delmas has several previous convictions including sexual interference, sexual assault, robbery, possession of a controlled substance, fraud, theft, and break and enter. The majority of these crimes were committed in Medicine Hat.

He is currently being monitored by the Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program.

He is described as 5’11” tall, 180 pounds, with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.
