Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – September 16

Sep 16, 2019 | 2:19 AM

Happy Hatter
That we only had two maybe three days of forest fire smoke this summer.

Mad Hatter
I agree with the person last week commenting on how many city workers are on a construction site, yet so many of them are always just sitting around. Maybe this is why the plans get delayed months on end!

Happy Hatter
Happy with the staff at the grocery store on the hill. They are always so kind and friendly – it makes going there a pleasure.

Mad Hatter
Was at MH hospital early in the week, I am surprised all those well-paid staff in jeans and T-shirts. They may be doing their jobs, but they certainly don’t dress professionally for a professional organization. The clerk at my corner store attire is better!

Happy Hatter
I was in a grocery store today and was on a budget because the local food bank apparently feels that a single mom of 2 on AISH and who doesn’t receive child support, nor any family support, doesn’t really need any food for her kids in time of need. After all the hundreds of thousands of dollars donated, you’d think they could provide fresh food??? THANK YOU SO MUCH to the gentleman behind me at the cashier who gave me $10 to help with my groceries! I will pay it forward!

Happy Hatter
Thank you to the RCMP for dealing with the young injured fawn. Before everyone plays the boohoo game and starts pointing fingers at the RCMP, please take heed that this fawn has been in our neighborhood for the past 4 plus weeks struggling with its injuries. It has been very difficult and sad to watch the injured fawn that was clearly in pain and suffering. I am glad the RCMP were available to handle this tough situation whereas Alberta Fish & Wildlife has been missing, unavailable or refusing to step up and deal with the problem.

Happy Hatter
Happy that I get to puppy sit my friends’ dogs.

Mad Hatter
I’m so done with detours and construction sites. It was a beautiful weekend, why weren’t they working? You would think that they would want to play catch up with all the rain we had earlier in the week.

Mad Hatter
As a single parent, I try everyday to install my values and morals in my children so they can be kind, considerate and grateful towards others. I also try and buy my kids the things that they need and things that they want. What I’m not happy about is the youth who stole my sons’ bus pass for August right from his sweater at a youth activity in the city. My trust for people in this city is diminishing.

Mad Hatter
Slow days at work make me a Mad Hatter!

Happy Hatter
Just looked at the new schedule for one of our venues in town. Another year of tribute bands and junk entertainment. Happy to not be spending money there again. No idea how that place makes ends meet.
