Higher water bills may surprise some in Redcliff

Software glitch eliminated water consumption totals for some Redcliff households

REDCLIFF — Some homeowners in Redcliff could be hit with a larger than normal bill for their water.

A water consumption charge that should have been included on the most recent utility bill was missed due to an unexpected software issue.

Some random accounts were affected by the issue, which inadvertently deleted the consumption amount.

That charge will be added to the next utility bill in September, and the Town of Redcliff is sending e-mails to affected customers outlining their options for handling what will be a higher than expected amount.
