EDMONTON, AB — The Medicine Hat Mavericks had no answer for the Edmonton Prospects on Tuesday evening.
The Mavs dropped a 9-5 decision in the first of two games at ReMax Field over two nights.
Edmonton is now just one game back of the Mavericks for third place in the Western Division, while the Mavs are one and a half games back of Lethbridge in second.
It’s just the second time in six games the Prospects have defeated the reigning league champions this summer.
