Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – July 18

Happy Hatter
Happy to see the local female golfer win a big tournament on the weekend!

Happy Hatter
Went for a gorgeous bike ride to echo dale on trails I didn’t even know existed. Amazing views of the river and a great workout too! This city has some beautiful hidden spots!

Mad Hatter
It’s great we have another rescue organization but too bad they spend their time on social media guilt tripping people & shaming breeders. Adoption or fostering is a great idea but sometimes it just doesn’t work with people. If I foster a dog in my newly renovated house and it eats the walls or something are they going to pay to replace the damage? Or if a cat stains all my furniture and carpet? What if our animals we already have just don’t want other animals to be in the house after they’ve been an only child their whole life? And shopping is fine because not all breeders are greedy puppy mills. Some people want a show dog or want a certain kind because they have kids or other animals that these are great with. You can’t guilt people because they can’t/won’t rescue. Everyone has different circumstances in life.

Happy with amount of shopping up in NE CH. we have Coop/SDM/Costco/IGA/pet valu/princess auto/numerous restaurants/bakery/drug stores/postal services/home hardware all within 10-minute drive. Don’t like the prices it’s called read all flyers & be a smart shopper instead of a complainer.

Mad Hatter
Does Medicine Hat even have a paving crew? Seems like they don’t. Nothing ever gets fixed. Been working in the southwest industrial area for over 20 years and there has not been one time that the roads have been repaired. Potholes? forget about it. Going on 3 years reporting them on their website and absolutely nothing is done.

Mad Hatter
Why are gas prices so high in Medicine Hat relative to other places in Alberta? Why haven’t grocery and utility bills been reduced? The CT was repealed. We no longer receive a rebate, but it looks like the CT is still being collected?

Happy Hatter
Love a rainy summer day!

Mad Hatter
So the City has returned the fireworks ban to the status quo. Great. Now tell that to all the homeowners in Crescent Heights that light off fireworks during the summer, holidays, etc. There are a bunch of them that live close to the trail that don’t know they are illegal!!!!!!

Mad Hatter
I support the rodeo. I show my support by attending and paying admittance. But I will say, I don’t respect most people who think we should stop the rodeo. Why? Because if they cared so much about it, then wouldn’t they do more than complain on Facebook or to their friends? I respect those that actually try to do something for their cause, all others are just jumping on a bandwagon.

Mad Hatter
What was with this rush of getting rid of the CT 3 months ago. prices have not dropped in any shape or form in AB. Just took away a user fee that was paying our debt down from 5+ years ago.

Happy Hatter
City considering pickleball courts, this is great but where is this coming from?
