Record methamphetamine bust in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT — The ALERT unit has made what it believes is the largest seizure of methamphetamine in Medicine Hat’s history.

A two month investigation resulted in seizure of 1.13 kilograms of meth, along with 156 grams of cocaine and 7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

As well, police confiscated 207 tablets of illicit prescription drugs and over 34 thousand dollars in cash.

Search warrants were executed on two residences in Medicine Hat last Saturday, where 4 people were arrested.

Another person was arrested by Brooks RCMP after a vehicle was stopped along the Trans Canada highway near that community.

65 year old Rosalind Blade, 38 year old Bobby-Jo Blade, 25 year old Angie Blade and 44 year old Harley Simons, all of Medicine Hat are facing multiple charges.

A 5th person, a man from Edmonton was also charged.
