City names Dennis Egert Commissioner of Corporate Services
MEDICINE HAT, AB — The city has named its new Commissioner of Corporate Services.
Dennis Egert will take over the role on July 15, according to a news release from Robert Nicolay, the city’s Chief Administrative Officer.
“Dennis has demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills, a high level of integrity, and great passion for the community,” said Nicolay in a statement. “He has been an integral force behind the City’s Financially Fit for the Future efforts, and will continue to bring a visionary approach to the Corporate Services portfolio.”
According to the release, Egert has been with the city since 2014, serving as the general manager of finance. Under his new role, Egert’s portfolio includes corporate asset management, human resources, finance, information and computer services, as well as health, safety, environment and emergency planning.
