MEDICINE HAT, AB — The longtime coach of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers golf teams has officially resigned from his position.

Trevor Moore took to social media Thursday evening, posting his resignation letter.

“I have loved every minute of my time in this position, and would love nothing more than to maintain my current role with these teams; however, at this time, I feel it is best for all involved, for mke to move aside,” the statement reads.

“I will redirect my time and energy toward my young family, myself and my private coaching, speaking and entertaining business.”

Moore joined Medicine Hat College in 2010 to help coach the recently revived golf program. He says During the nine seasons, the men’s and women’s team won a total of eight team medals in the Alberta College Athletics Conference (two gold, four silver, two bronze), with the women’s team winning silver at the 2018 CCAA National Championships held in Medicine Hat. It was the first national golf medal for Medicine Hat College.

Moore says his proudest moments were off the golf course, citing the women’s team’s winning the CCAA Fair Play & Ethics Award in 2016 as an example.

A replacement for Moore was not immediately known.
