Tigers comeback falls short in overtime
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Tasked with overcoming a three-goal deficit after 20 minutes of play, the Medicine Hat Tigers battled back to take a 5-4 lead late in the third period.
But the Calgary Hitmen weren’t about to back down, tying the game with under four minutes left and escaping the Canalta Centre with a 6-5 overtime victory on Wednesday night.
Vladislav Yeryomenko notched the game-winner after James Malm slipped the puck between his own legs and fed it in front. The puck ricocheted into the cage behind Tigers netminder Jordan Hollett, silencing the 3748 in attendance.
