Williams, Sogaard to face each other at CHL Prospects Game

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Mads Sogaard and Josh Williams will be on opposite ends of the rink later this month.

The Medicine Hat Tigers teammates were among 40 players selected to participate in the 2019 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, which will be taking place in Red Deer on January 23.

Sogaard, who recently represented Denmark at the World Junior Hockey Championship, will be playing with Team Cherry during the game.

Williams will be playing on Team Orr.

The players in the game are selected by NHL Clubs, and is a showcase for draft eligible players from the Canadian Hockey League. NHL Central Scouting selects the rosters.

Both Williams and Sogaard have a “B” rating from NHL Central Scouting, indicating a potential selection in the second or third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
