Four from Medicine Hat win at Huntsman World Senior Games

ST. GEORGE, UTAH — A group of Medicine Hat residents are coming home with several medals from the Huntsman World Senior Games.

The event, which runs October 8-20 in Saint George, Utah, saw four people from Medicine Hat all win medals in the swimming and archery events.

Dan David won a gold medal in the men’s 60-64 3D Freestyle Archery, finishing with 1060 points, 10 points ahead of his nearest competitor. Last year, David won a silver medal in the same category.

He also won a bronze medal in the men’s 60-64 Target Archery Freestyle division.

Sheri David won a gold medal in the 3D Barebow Recurve event, in the women’s 55-59 category.

In swimming, Mike Roll won a gold medal in the men’s 200m breaststroke in the 50-54 category, while Michele David Roll won a silver medal in the 50-54 category in the same event. Michele also won a gold medal in the Women’s 55-59 400m freestyle.
