Entries open for Stampede Parade, horse show and decorating contest

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Entries are now open for three events next month during the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede.

The Stampede is accepting applications for its annual store decorating contest, the All Breed Horse Show and the Stampede Parade.

Judging for the decorating contest will take place on July 23 at 11 a.m.

The theme this year is “The Place to Be” and the deadline for applications is July 6th. Businesses will be judged on originality, decoration and employee participation.

The All-Breed Horse Show runs July 20-22, with Riders showcasing their skills in the dressage, hunter/jumper, general performance – English, and General Performance – Western categories. Entry forms are available here. 

The deadline for participants to enter is July 9.

This year’s Stampede Parade takes place at 9 a.m. on July 26. The deadline to register is 4 p.m. on July 20.
